What is DMCA?

• The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a 1998 amended United States copyright law that addresses protection of digital copyrighted content and copyright infringement on the Internet. By establishing the Notice-and-Takedown System, DMCA outlines and limits liabilities of online service providers (OSP) for copyright infringement by their users. StudyX, for instance, is an OPS classified by DMCA and must comply with DMCA.
